Biography

Mike Kent

For decades I have been involved in communications.  I have worked in radio and television news as a reporter, assignment manager and news director.  That experience took me to one of the top markets in the country covering everything from the crash of the Michigan economy to the crash of a commercial airliner.  I worked as a communications manager for a political campaign, the spokesperson for the Traverse City Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, and marketing director for the largest automotive dealership group in Northern Michigan.

I have been one of the key organizers and driving forces behind some of the top community events in northern Michigan, including:

  • The T.C. Patriot Game
  • Toys for Tots
  • Kampout for KAIR
  • The Traverse City Suicide Prevention Walk.

I have developed a wide range of strategies for retail companies, issue management and non-profit communications.

I have written and produced award-winning television production for businesses such as construction and auto dealerships.  I have managed a wide range of mediums including television, radio, print, Internet and social media.

When needed, I collaborate with some of the most skilled designers, photographers, video editors and Internet coordinators available.
